Temple Street residents are facing extensive roadwork as Veolia Energy replaces expansion joints there and on Cambridge and Staniford streets, according to a spokesperson for the Cambridge firm.
The company will replace four expansion joints in its steam pipes, which run from Cambridge Street to the Suffolk University’s Donahue Building through June 30.
The work, which involves an 8-foot by 10-foot excavation, asbestos removal, welding and concrete replacement, will be done Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The street is expected to be closed during the day only.
Residents expecting a furniture delivery or using a moving van should arrange for weekend delivery. After Temple Street is completed, work on Staniford Street will begin.
