Gresh, Neighborhood Narrative to Be at October Women’s Forum

Kristen Gresh, who curated She Who Tells a Story now on exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, will speak at the October 1 meeting of the Beacon Hill Women’s Forum (BHWF), an organization formed in May to connect and inspire neighborhood women.

To help its members connect with local merchants on Beacon Hill and raise funds to support the organization, the BHWF has launched a sponsorship series called Neighborhood Narratives. Each month a local store or restaurant owner will precede the speaker with a three-minute presentation about their business. October’s sponsor is Amy Chien Bailey, owner of the Charles Street cosmetic boutique Beauty Mark and the Townhouse Beauty Bar, which offers spa, beauty and personal care. For more information about Neighborhood Narratives, contact Shannon Felton at shannon.k.felton@gmail.com.

The meeting, which includes appetizers and a cash bar, will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Hampshire House. There is an annual $50 joining fee and $20 charge for each meeting. A full year charter membership of $180, which includes the joining fee and entry to all 2013-2014 events, is available through September 30. Charter members may register online at www.beaconhillwomensforum.com. For more information, contact Lisa Macalaster at lisamacalaster@gmail.com.
