Patronize Local Merchants During This Holiday Season

Each year after we gather with friends and family to enjoy a turkey dinner and some pumpkin pie, we set our minds on the Holidays. The hustle and bustle set-in and the list of gifts and gatherings continue to grow. This year, The Beacon Hill Civic Association (BHCA) wants to remind residents to shop local this Holiday Season.

Start shopping November 30, Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  The BHCA encourages residents to get out and support our businesses because when you shop at these small local businesses, you support all the things that make our community great.

Those residents who are members of the BHCA can use their Merchant Loyalty Cards to get special discounts at 15 area shops during Small Business Saturday and the rest of the year. A full list of participating businesses can be found on their website at www.bhcivic.org. The money you spend here stays here. In this place you call your neighborhood.
