Dead Trees Slated to Be Removed

On August 13 and 14, the Boston Parks Department will be removing a dozen dead trees from Beacon Hill, on Charles, Chestnut, Irving, Mt. Vernon, Myrtle, and West Cedar Streets. The removals automatically generate a planting request, and a new tree will planted at a future date if the location is not too close to a lamppost, fire hydrant, utilities line, or corner. Linda Cox, chair of the BHCA Tree Committee, said, β€œIt is very exciting to see these dead trees removed, and we are grateful to the Parks Department.”
