Dead Trees Slated to Be Removed

On August 13 and 14, the Boston Parks Department will be removing a dozen dead trees from Beacon Hill, on Charles, Chestnut, Irving, Mt. Vernon, Myrtle, and West Cedar Streets. The removals automatically generate a planting request, and a new tree will planted at a future date if the location is not too close to a lamppost, fire hydrant, utilities line, or corner. Linda Cox, chair of the BHCA Tree Committee, said, “It is very exciting to see these dead trees removed, and we are grateful to the Parks Department.”
