Fans erected a makeshift tribute to Robin Williams on a bench in the Public Garden last week, following his tragic death on Monday, Aug. 11. Williams acted in a scene opposite Matt Damon at the location during his Oscar-winning performance in the 1997 film “Good Will Hunting.”
Meanwhile, a petition has been launched to create a bronze statue in Williams’ likeness to permanently place on the bench.
