The now-shuttered Beacon Hill Market at 55 Anderson St.
The Beacon Hill Market suddenly shuttered last week, with a posted notice citing the business for more than $54,000 in unpaid rent.
Waltham-based Empire Realty Trust has apparently seized the property at 55 Anderson St., following an October court ruling in Boston Municipal Court.
Market owner Tracy Holland, who vacated the Charles Street Market, formerly located at 66 Charles St., two years ago amid an outstanding rent debt, wrote in an e-mail to the Times that the business is currently closed for renovations, but didn’t respond to further inquiries regarding the status of the project.
Neither Empire Realty Trust, nor its attorney, could be immediately reached for comment.
