The Boston Public Works Department has announced that residential street sweeping, originally scheduled to start March 1st, will be postponed until streets are cleared to the curb and gutters are free of ice and snow. In order for streets to be properly swept, a thaw and large scale melting must occur. Ticketing and towing of vehicles parked during scheduled street sweeping hours will not occur at this time. The Public Works Department will notify residents once streets are clear enough for street sweeping to resume.
