The Esplanade Association’s annual “Moondance Gala” takes place along the banks of the Charles River in Boston on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Beginning at 9 p.m., the event will open for the “Moondance After Dark” portion of the gala. Co-chaired by Ashlee Robertson and Carolina Save, it is organized by the Esplanade Friends Council and provides an opportunity for Council members and friends to experience the gala post-dinner.
“I am excited to be sharing my creative ideas and help add new twists to the event, which we hope to sell out,” Save said. “This event really showcases the endless reasons of why we all love the Esplanade and how much of a difference the support of everyone provides.”
With this year’s theme of
“Making Life Better, From the Ground Up,” “Moondance After Dark” will feature organic décor in clear tents situated right on the banks of the river. Guests will enjoy music spun by DJ Mario and dancing under the stars along with signature cocktails, light bites and decadent desserts.
Among the unique activities, attendees will have the chance to win prizes from the signature “Giving Tree” and take photos in the themed photo booth hosted by PoseyPose.
“The Esplanade is the reason I don’t live in the suburbs,” Save said. “It offers everything from sunset strolls, picnic spots, concerts, sailing, exercising and so much more. The Esplanade Association allows many of us to help maintain that beautiful backyard.”
“Moondance After Dark” tickets are on sale for $150 through Sept. 6 and, will increase to $175, beginning Sept. 7. All proceeds will support the Esplanade Association’s work to care for the Charles River Esplanade.
