Insurance Broker

Robert J. Kuchefski of Boston, formerly of Wellesley, died unexpectedly on May 26.

Bob received his BS from Illinois State University in 1968. A member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity,  Bob moved to the Boston area from Bloomington, Illinois 39 years ago to be an Insurance Broker for Hoffman Insurance Services in Wellesley. He obtained Preferred Agent Status for many of the companies he represented.

Bob enjoyed all sports, especially golf, his dogs and travel but the most important part of his life was his family.  A longtime member of Brae Burn Country Club, he was also past president of the Wellesley Kiwanis Club and an avid coach in Wellesley youth sports. He was a parishioner at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Bob was the beloved husband of Jane (Wettaw) Kuchefski and devoted father of Kathryn Kuchefski, also of Boston. He is also survived by his mother, Jacqueline (Hamilton) Kuchefski of Danville, Illinois and brothers: Kenneth, Lawrence, Richard and James. Bob’s father predeceased him.

A private burial will be held in Bloomington, Illinois in August. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held September 19 at Brae Burn Country Club. Arrangements by George F.
