The costly and intricate rehabilitation of the rusted and soot-faced Longfellow Bridge is well underway.
Boston’s most significant older bridge is being remade, and in such a way, that it will shine and stand out and be noted for its architectural brilliance.
The bridge today is like a gorgeous, stunning woman covered in rags.
All of that is coming to an end.
And what a great day it will be when the bridge is refinished to take its place among the mighty great structures the residents of this city can once again point to with great pride.
