Staying Healthy for Free This Summer on the Esplanade

Back by popular demand, the Healthy, Fit and Fun program returns to the Charles River Esplanade this summer.

The Esplanade Association (TEA) is continuing to offer free outdoor fitness classes this July and August. TEA’s Healthy, Fit and Fun programs are taught by professional trainers from premier Boston area sports clubs and yoga studios. Everyone can join in the fun during the July 9 kick-off week and every week, Monday through Friday, until the end of August, for free fitness classes.

Channel your inner sanctuary or dance it up with fun Latin beats; there’s something for everyone on the Esplanade: Community Runs, Gentle Flow, Boot

Camp, Zumba, and Yoga. This dynamic program is possible because of the generous support of the Boston Sports Clubs, Equinox, Exhale Spa, Healthworks, OMBE, Social Boston Sports and The Sports Club/LA. Everyone who joins these classes –from seasoned athletes to those looking to get back into shape– will discover the joy of exercising outdoors, on the Esplanade.

“We believe the Esplanade is a great resource to support the health and vitality of Boston residents and park visitors,” said TEA Executive Director Sylvia Salas. “We’re pleased that so many individuals are looking forward to the classes and so many community businesses want to be a part of this program.”

Healthy, Fit and Fun classes are free and open to the public through Aug. 31. For a complete program schedule, class descriptions and directions, visit www.esplanadeassociation.org .
