Pick up the perfect holiday gift at the Beacon Hill Holiday Fine Art and Craft Sale which will be held on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18 at the Hill House (the old firehouse) at 127 Mt. Vernon Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Unique one of a kind pieces from local artists, photographers, potters, painters, glass blowers, crafters, jewelers and much more will be on sale during the 9th annual Holiday Fine Art and Craft Sale.
Some of the original hand-crafted work from local award-winning artists include stoneware pottery from Constance Bacon, handmade crafts just like grandma used to make including afghans, baby bibs and blankets made by Mary Dowling, sterling silver and gold filled beads and other jewelry from Deborah MacFail, hand dyed silk and framed fine art pieces made by Carol Crouch and more.
Jen Matson, a photographer whose work will be displayed during the craft sale and a member of the Beacon Hill Art committee, says the event is a big hit on Beacon Hill.
“This is a great way to support local artists. The holiday craft sale came about because of the success of the Beacon Hill Art Walk which is held in June,” said Matson.
The first Beacon Hill Art Walk was held in 1990 and had 50 artists and hundreds of art lovers in attendance. تOver the years the events has grown with over 150 artists participating in the annual event today.
The Art Walk is held to provide a venue for local artists to sell their original works
