BHCA Zoning And Licensing Comm. Meeting

On January 9 at 7:30 pm, the Beacon Hill Civic Association will hear from two applicants. The first applicant seeks to change the use of 31 Phillips Street (22-24 Anderson Street) from eight apartments and one store to eight apartments and one office.  Since the commercial use space has lapsed after two years of non-use, the property is currently zoned as all residential. The proposed office space would be used to house a real estate business.

The second agenda item, Grotto Restaurant, located at 37 Bowdoin Street, looks to extend its operating hours until 11:30pm.  The restaurant currently must stop serving at its bar at 10pm and all its patrons must leave by 10:30pm.

The public meeting will be held at 74 Joy Street. Anyone with questions and comments regarding this matter are encouraged to attend.  Those unable to attend who would like to express an opinion to the BHCA may call (617.227.1922) or send an email to the Executive Director MaryLee Halpin (marylee.halpin@bhcivic.org) prior to the meeting.  Plans, photos, additional information and updates on this matter are posted at www.bhcivic.org
