Candidate for state representative Nils Tracy announced last week that he is ending his bid for the 8th Suffolk seat and throwing his support behind fellow Democrat Jay Livingstone.
“I chose to run for state representative because I believe the 8th Suffolk District deserves a strong progressive leader. I now believe Jay Livingstone is that leader,” said Tracy.
“After learning more about Jay’s terrific accomplishments, experience and progressive values, I have decided to bow out of the race in order to support his campaign.” Tracy added. “In this election, Jay is the right person for this seat, and he has my full support. I encourage any of my supporters and any voter who believes, as I do, that we need to strengthen our public schools, stop damaging cuts to social programs, and invest in our transportation infrastructure to vote for Jay Livingstone for State
Representative in the May 28th Democratic primary.”
