Forgery/Counterfeiting

07/27/15 – At around 4 p.m., police responded to a radio call for an individual trying to pass a false prescription at CVS Pharmacy at 587 Boylston St.

Upon arrival, the officer spoke to an employee, who said a male suspect came into the store and attempted to fill a prescription for Adderrall. The employee, who was aware of a false prescription filled a few days beforehand using the same form, told the suspect he couldn’t fill his order. The suspect took the prescription and told the employee that he would get if filled somewhere else.

The employee also said the suspect was accompanied by a second man, but he couldn’t tell they were together until after they’d left the store.

The officer reviewed the surveillance video, which showed the suspect and his accomplice entering the store.

Store management said they would make a copy of the video available to District Four detectives.

Simple Assault

06/13/15 – Police responded to Copley Square Park for a report of one woman assaulting another.

On arrival, the officer met with the victim, who was accompanied by a small, leashed dog and observed to be bleeding profusely from her nose, which was swollen.

The victim said she was walking her dog in the park when the suspect approached her, started yelling at her and without warning, began punching the victim about the face, head and body.

The suspect fled on foot up Stuart Street towards Clarendon Street, but a search of the area for her by several police units proved fruitless.

The victim was transported by ambulance from the scene to to New England Medical Center for further treatment, and the District 4 Detective Bureau is investigating the matter.
