Boston Pops Fourth of July Spectacular Set for Monday

The nation’s most famous Fourth of July celebration is happening right here in Beacon Hill’s backyard.

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will be held on the Charles River Esplanade on Monday, July 4. The gates will open at 9 a.m. The concert will begin at 8:30 p.m. while the fireworks will begin at 10:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Jenney Szeto, marketing director at Community Boating, Inc. (CBI) located on 21 David G. Mugar Way, said that tickets for CBI’s annual Fourth of July “Sailabration,” which features a spectacular view of the fireworks on the Esplanade, are available.

The ticket price includes a catered cookout including hamburgers, refreshments, and desserts.

“We provide chairs for people and there are reserved tables that will be available on the front of our dock,” said Szeto. “The doors open at 5:30 p.m., so people can come in at that time and not have to camp out all day on the Esplanade. There will be a DJ and plenty of activities for children and their families. Our guests will be able to watch the Boston Pops concert on a Jumbotron before the fireworks. We obviously have a great view of the fireworks right here.”

Community Boating, Inc. is the nation’s oldest, continuously running, public sailing center, first incorporated in 1946.

Tickets to the Community Boating, Inc., Sailabration are available on the organization’s Website:  HYPERLINK “http://www.community-boating.org” www.community-boating.org.

There is also a concert on the Esplanade scheduled for Sunday, July 3 beginning at 8:30 p.m. There are no fireworks following the July 3 concert.
