Beacon Hill Civic Association Annual Appeal
The Beacon Hill Civic Association works in quiet and sometimes unnoticed ways.
In addition to the many meetings and events our committees organize, we are also working every day to improve the quality of life for our neighbors on Beacon Hill. Case in point are these two Food Waste Drop Off bins installed by the City on Cambridge Street in front of the Fire Department parking lot. The BHCA worked with the City’s Office of Neighborhood Services to make this project a reality. Since their installation last year, these bins have gathered 20,055 lbs (over 10 tons!) of food waste waste! That is 10 tons less food waste on the sidewalks. The more we compost, the less food we lay out for rodents.
Please donate to the BHCA’s 2026 Annual Appeal at bhcivic.org to support our work for the community!
