Cooling off at Beacon Hill Nursery School

Two boys from the Beacon Hill Nursery School are enjoying the cool water on a hot sunny day.

The hot summer days have finally arrived in Boston, but the campers at Beacon Hill Nursery School (BHNS) are enjoying some cool wet fun in the school’s newly renovated back playground.

This new outdoor natural playscape is a perfect opportunity for your child to watch a piece of nature change through the season – feeding birds in the garden, planting vegetables and checking out the blueberry bushes for snacks.

The Beacon Hill Nursery School Summer Program, a 10-week, creative-learning adventure for children ages 2 to 6, is open to all children whether they attend BHNS or not. Children can enroll for as many or few weeks as they would like.

Each week of the program includes activities such as arts and crafts, in-house field trips, music, yoga, pretend and free play, science and nature, stories and water play. The theme for the summer, “Nature in the City,” will be complemented with in-house field trips from Curious Creatures, Puddle Stompers and puppet shows.
