According to the poet Emily Dickinson, “A little madness in the Spring is wholesome even for the King.” With that in mind, the Beacon Hill Women’s Forum (BHWF) cordially invites you to tonight’s Third Annual Charles Street Couture Fashion Show from 6 to 8 pm, a festive event featuring local designers and boutiques, the latest styles in clothes and jewelry and, best of all, the lovely ladies of the BHWF who strut the runway along with the professionals. This popular happening will take place at The University of Massachusetts Club, One Beacon Street, 32nd Floor. The new venue offers spacious rooms and lovely views of the Charles River and the City of Boston. Tickets for the show may be purchased online or at the door, so grab a friend and come along! BHWF is a non-profit social organization whose main goal is to build community among women, especially newcomers to Boston. Through monthly speaker meetings, informal dinners, mom’s group, young professional’s group, local field trips, and other activities, BHWF provides opportunities for downtown women and those living in its nearby neighborhoods to “connect, inspire, and enjoy.” Founded in 2013 by Lisa Macalaster, the organization is currently led by President Danielle Frissell, both of Beacon Hill. To join the organization or to pre-purchase tickets for tonight’s Fashion Show, go to www.beaconhillwomensforum.org. Tickets are $20 for BHWF members, $40 for guest visitors. Cash bar. The many generous local sponsors for this event will be listed in next week’s Beacon Hill Times.
