Setting the Record Straight on Safety and Crash Stats on Beacon Hill

Let’s get the facts straight about safety on Charles Street on Beacon Hill
Charles Street is a safe street. There has been some confusion regarding crash/fatality data that needs to be clarified. The Boston Cyclist Union states on their website under the Beacon Hill Charles Street campaign that there has been a fatality on Charles Street. As stated in the police report, the tragic accident occurred on April 30, 2016, on Beacon Street – not Charles Street. The accident involved a young woman on a moped and a Duck boat.
Transportation modes continually evolve on Charles Street, the community looks forward to ensuring a safe environment for all.
