Spring is almost here, and the Friends of the Phillips Street Play
Area (PSPA) would like to invite all neighbors and friends to its first meeting of 2011 at the Vilna Shul, 18 Phillips St. (across from the playground) on Monday, March 7, from 7 to 8 p.m.
In one short year, the PSPA hosted many events, including a spring book and bake sale, a “Science in the Park” series, Arts in the Park, a summer music series and the very popular Fall Harvest Festival.
The Friends also raised money through grants and fundraising to add additional plants, and to provide the park with new fencing and general upkeep.
Anyone interested in helping with the 2011 season in areas, such as summer programming, operations, fundraising, landscaping and more are encouraged to attend.
