A recent reading of the statistical analysis of crimes committed in Boston by the Boston Police Department reveals that overall crime on Beacon Hill has again dropped, and dramatically.
Violent crimes and property crimes declined by 15-percent compared with the same timeframe last year.
There were no homicides and one rape. Residential burglaries were down 37-percent. Auto theft was down 33-percent.
The downturn enhances the general impression of residents that Beacon Hill is a safe place to live.
