Theft on Charles Street

On page one of today’s newspaper is a story of a break into a Charles Street business.  The thieves made off with $12,000 of goods during the Hurricane.  While this is a new type of looting to affect Charles St. businesses, shoplifting has always been an issue for many store owners.

Sgt. Tom Lenna of the Boston Police Department and the Beacon Hill Business Association have in place now and continue to make available ways to help local businesses curb their losses from shoplifters.  Especially in these times, when we see the business composition of Charles Street changing, we urge all owners to take advantage of these free services.
