Thank You

In our neighborhood, there is nothing more scarce than open, safe and appealing public spaces.  For too long, we have seen how municipal and recent state budget cuts have had a negative impact on our parks with necessary repairs often being postponed.

The recent action of the following businesses, Lenox Hotel, LAZ Parking, Panificio Bistro and Bakery, Henrietta’s Table, The Paramount and local foods trucks Mei Mei Street Kitchen, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese and Momogoose to donate 5% of their proceeds on April 22 to five local non-profits ( Charles River Conservancy, The Emerald Necklace Conservancy, The Esplanade Association, The Friends of the Public Garden and the Rose Kennedy Greenway) deserve a huge thank you for their civic generosity.

In these economic times for restaurants to give up this amount of their one-day sales is a charitable deed that should truly be recognized by all.

We urge our readers to go to these restaurants and food trucks and enjoy a hearty meal on April 22.  Not only will you be getting some of the best food around, but your patronage of these restaurants will go towards helping maintain our public spaces that we use and cherish.
