On Tuesday, May 7, beginning at 6:30 pm, the Beacon Hill Civic Association, the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay, the Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association and the West End Civic Association will present a State Representative Candidates Forum for the 8th Suffolk District, which is made up of Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and the West End in Boston, and Cambridgeport, Area 4 and MIT in Cambridge. The forum is being held in the Hill House Auditorium, at 127 Mt. Vernon Street, on the Flat of Beacon Hill.
In this event, the candidates running for State Representative for the 8th Suffolk District will answer questions posed by our moderator concerning the important issues that are facing our downtown neighborhoods in Boston and Cambridge. If time allows, there will be an opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions as well. The forum is open to all members of the general public.
“This State Representative Candidates Forum for the 8th Suffolk District being sponsored by the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and the West End neighborhood associations, continues the long tradition of these downtown civic groups coming together to hold events to let our residents know about the candidates running for public office, and their respective positions about the issues that matter most to our neighborhoods,” said Rob Whitney, a member of the Beacon Hill Civic Association’s Board of Directors, and the organizer of the event. “All of the candidates running for this office will be in attendance, and it will be a great way for the neighborhoods to learn more about the candidates.”
