Walking along the streets on Beacon Hill, on Monday morning, the lampposts are all decorated with garlands and bows. Every year this happens but not without effort. This effort is the work of countless local volunteers who climb ladders and carry the garlands up and down the streets of our neighborhood.
For some residents, this is a yearly event. For others, this is their first time decorating the lamposts.
To all those who braved the cold and rain on Saturday and Sunday, we say thank you for making our neighborhood festive.
For those that helped cut the garlands and bows on Saturday, we say thank you. And to all those that contributed at the party last month at the Hampshire House that raised the funds to purchase the garlands we say thank you.
