The Ford Hall Forum at Suffolk University presents “A Bumpy Ride,” a discussion on the controversy surrounding the ride-sharing companies Uber and Lyft and the taxi companies in Boston, from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April, 23, 2015, at the C. Walsh Theatre, 55 Temple St., Boston.
This forum will address how Uber and Lyft are battling with taxi companies in every major city nationwide, including Boston. Panelists will discuss the issue in an attempt to find a solution to this ever-growing controversy, particularly in the local area.
The speakers are: Massachusetts Department of Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollac, Steve Regan, spokesman, Massachusetts Regional Taxi Advocacy Group ,Steve DelBianco, executive director, NetChoice, Wendy O’Neil, Lyft driver, Boston Globe reporter Hiawatha Bray will moderate the discussion.
The event is free and open to the public.
