BH Garden Club Introduces Jardin Boutiques, A Tour Day Pop-Up Shop

On Thursday May 19, the Beacon Hill Garden Club will host its 87th  annual tour of the Hidden Gardens. There will be ten private gardens on tour and four “ribbon” gardens, which will be viewed behind a ribbon. This year’s tour includes four new gardens, gorgeous alliums, a “living wall”, an elegant pergola and a charming potting shed. The tour is the best way to enjoy spring with friends. It’s a guaranteed day of beauty and inspiration.

In addition to visiting the hidden gardens, there will be shopping right in the heart of the tour. Together with the Beacon Hill Business Association, the Beacon Hill Garden Club is co-hosting Jardin Boutiques, a Charles Street collection of shops offering hand selected garden themed items for sale.  Quietly nestled at 7 Mt. Vernon Square, Jardin Boutiques will be open only on Tour Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Stores participating include good, December Thieves, Red Wagon, Linens on the Hill, Caswell Galleries and Remy Creations.

Advance tickets ($45) to the tour can be purchased online at www.beaconhillgardenclub.org or at select Charles Street stores, including Blackstone’s, Cambridge Trust, Charles Street Supply Co., good, Linens on the Hill and Rouvalis. Tour day tickets ($55) can be purchased at the Charles Street information table or online. All proceeds from the tour benefit local and national horticulture and conservation causes. In 2015, the Beacon Hill Garden Club made generous grants to thirty-seven organizations. With the addition of Jardin Boutiques and the Tour Preview Cocktail Party Garden Soirée the night before, the Beacon Hill Garden club is hoping that this year will be an even bigger success that will allow for even greater contributions.
