For many in Boston the election results for the presidential election did not come out as expected. But in the heart of Beacon Hill and the West End, it is clear that they wanted one candidate over the other.
“It’s incredibly disappointing, but I’m proud of the results in Massachusetts, and particularly in places like Beacon Hill and the Back Bay, where people overwhelmingly voted for the candidate who stood for inclusiveness, equality and justice for all of us, regardless of where we were born, the color of our skin, our religion or anything else,” said State Representative Jay Livingstone. “Despite what happened in the Presidential race, we will continue to make sure our society is open to all people.”
