While the weather outside may still seem like summer, the fall activities in our neighborhood are getting underway.
On Saturday night, The Esplanade Association Gala was held under beautiful skies. The event was another success raising funds for the Esplanade.
Two other events happening this Sunday, September 23, are the Hill House Pancake Breakfast and the Beacon Hill Civic Association Fall HillFest.
The breakfast is held in conjunction with the Beacon Hill Civic Association’s HillFest. Hill House will hold its annual Welcome Back Pancake Breakfast at the Firehouse at 127 Mt. Vernon St. on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. Residents can enjoy flapjacks, bacon, fruit, coffee and more as Hill House celebrates fall. Staff will alsom be on hand to speak about Hill House and its programming for ages upto 12.
In the afternoon, the 17th annual Beacon Hill Civic Association’s Fall HillFest takes place on the flat of Mt. Vernon Street from noon to 4 p.m.
The event will feature 20 neighborhood non-profits, and this year’s sponsors include Harpoon, F.H. Perry, Hampshire House, Panificio, Florina Pizzeria and Paninioteca and more. It will also feature grilled hot dogs, beer and pizza, as well as live music.
We urge residents to have some fun and get to one or both of these events to get acquainted with your neighbors.
