New York Times bestselling author Laura Munson will be on hand to promote her latest novel “Willa’s Grove” on Friday, March 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carrie Nation, 11 Beacon St.
“Willa’s Grove” tells the story of three women from across the country facing their own personal hardship who receive an intriguing invitation from Willa Silvester, who is reeling from the untimely death of her beloved husband and the reality that she must say goodbye to the small mountain town they founded. The women then converge on Silvester’s homestead, where together they contemplate the next acts in their respective lives.
Munson, who is also the bestselling author of “This Is Not The Story You Think It Is,” which chronicles her own midlife journey, will read excerpts from latest novel at the event, followed by a Q&A and book signing. She will also give guests a free gift inspired by the women of “Willa’s Grove.”
The Creative Women’s Lounge –a women’s networking group – is sponsoring the event, and Jennifer Hill, owner of Blackstone’s of Beacon Hill, will be on site selling copies of “Willa’s Grove.”
Admission is free for the event, which will feature lite fare and a cash bar, but seating is limited.
